KARATE-Adult

Why take Karate at Elite Training Center?
Our Karate program has three components to help our students to excel to the top in discipline, focus, self-protection and great health. No other Karate program focuses on these three components so well.

Freestyle Karate - This exciting blend of martial art styles from around the world combines traditional forms and modern fighting technology. Children and adults will learn self-discipline, focus, respect for others, non-violent conflict resolution and effective self-defense. Children learn life-skills that no other physical activity can provide, and they are not excluded from participation due to lack of physical ability as in other sports. Adults will enjoy improved success, stress relief, improved health, and enhanced self-esteem.

Realistic Self-Defense - Over 90 percent of aggressive encounters can be stopped before ever becoming physical if you have had the right training. Traditional martial arts or overly aggressive combat systems lack research-backed life-saving de-escalation skills. These systems are usually made up by a martial arts instructor and are comprised of over-complicated martial arts techniques that the instructor thinks will work in a real situation. This type of instruction lacks the most important component of self-defense training, which is how to handle the emotional stress of an aggressive encounter, how to de-escalate it while maintaining a safe distance, and how to survive it if it becomes physical. Failure in these areas can cost you or a family member their life. To be trained in just how to fight can result in false confidence, hot-headedness, situational escalation and failure to analyze other dangers such as firearms, knives and additional participants. Defense for Children™ • LRT™ (Last Resort Tactics) • CDT™ (Compliance-Direction-Takedown) Law Enforcement Level and also Family Protection Level These programs are highly specialized self-protection and law enforcement compliance programs. Our instructors have had advanced training that qualifies them to teach children, teens and adults how to avoid conflicts, control a situation and defend yourself if an assault is unavoidable. These systems are research backed and have been proven effective time and time again by students who have had to use them.

Fitness - The chief instructors at Elite Training Center are certified fitness trainers. The Children’s Martial Arts has age-appropriate children’s fitness training built into the curriculum to maximize your child’s life training experience. Our extensive adult fitness program is the best that can be found anywhere and is included for free in our Adult Martial Arts program. With challenging fitness classes such as Boot Camp, Strength Training, and Fitness Kickboxing, our adult students become the best they can be.

You will learn Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, kickboxing, Muay Thai, stand-up and ground combat striking, conditioning and fight strategy, all thoroughly and completely taught by top experts in a positive and safe environment.

GRACIE BARRA BRAZILIAN
JIU-JITSU

Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is the World's most effective grappling (ground fighting) system and is used for self-defense and sport purposes. This exciting martial art is rapidly becoming one of the world's premier martial art styles.

Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Gains World Recognition.
The art of Jiu-Jitsu gained world-wide recognition when it proved to be the most successful system used in the exploding new martial arts competitions categorized as "Mixed Martial Arts." Mixed Martial Arts simply refers to blending martial arts using styles that incorporates long-range techniques (kicking), intermediate-range techniques (punching), close-range techniques (elbows and knees), and grappling (ground fighting). Many of these Mixed Martial Arts matches went to the ground and were won using Jiu-Jitsu. The world's eyes were now opened!

The Great Equalizer.
One of the amazing facts that made people take notice is that many of the matches won using Gracie Jiu-Jitsu were won by competitors that were sometimes up to 80 pounds lighter than their opponents. GRACIE BARRA BRAZILIAN
JIU-JITSU FOR WOMEN

This beginner-level course offers an introduction to the grappling arts and ground fighting for women of all fitness levels. Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art based on the principles of technique and leverage as opposed to size or strength, which makes it an excellent self-defense system for women. Now you can start your Jiu-Jitsu training in a relaxed, non-competitive atmosphere by taking a class designed especially for women.

You will be able to easily transition into Professor Eduardo de Lima’s co-ed Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class if obtaining a black belt is your ultimate goal. Alternatively, if you just want to learn some grappling techniques to complement your self-defense arsenal, this class will teach you the skills you need to feel confident in protecting yourself when the fight goes to the ground.

Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for Women is taught by Denise Griffin. Denise is a life-long martial arts student who is currently a Gracie Barra Purple Belt under Professor Eduardo de Lima.


Roger Patrizzi, Muay Thai Instructor
MUAY THAI
Muay Thai is the national sport of Thailand. It is known for being one of the styles with the most devastating striking techniques. Also known as "Thai Boxing," Muay Thai incorporates the punches of boxing as well as knee strikes, elbow strikes, and kicking all targets from legs to head. This style is fun to learn and effective in self-defense. This program includes Thai conditioning and sparring.

Next Level Kickboxing NEW CLASS
(6-8 weeks experience required)
Next Level Kickboxing is designed for people with basic kickboxing experience who want to learn more. Real strategic fighting combinations, setups, fakes and footwork are part of this physically and mentally stimulating class. 6-8 weeks experience is required to preserve a fast-paced workout.

Alternative Strength NEW CLASS
This class will break any plateau! Whole body exercises using TRX and Jungle Gym suspension training, heavy rope undulation, and all the latest alternative strength systems. Get crazy strong in this class!

MMA Fitness
Train like an MMA Fighter without the contact. Ground-and-pound bag work, mitt work, heavy bag work all lead to the same end: a rock hard MMA Fighter body. Shock your body into results you never thought possible with MMA conditioning drills.

Elite Training

Elite Training Boot Camp
Take it up a notch with Elite Training Boot Camp. Heavy bag work, calisthenics, obstacle courses, resistance training, combat techniques on targets, serious abdominal training. You don't have to be in the Special Forces to train like them!

Elite Strength Training
An All-In resistence-driven hour of muscle strength and endurance development. We'll use every means possible to pump you up! Whether beginner or advanced, this class is for you!

Fitness Kickboxing
Authentic kickboxing on heavy bags and targets with abs and flexibility thrown in for fun! It's a kick-butt, sweat pouring, bag hammering, aggression releasing, power punching workout for the raging kickboxer deep inside us all!
